The school obtained four plates at the Annual ADE Pentathlon Competition held at Balmoral on Wednesday 15th. By winning the Junior and Intermediate Categories and a second place in the Open category, St Alban's won the Boys Overall Trophy. The Girls won the Open Category and were Second in the Overall standings. Congratulations to all those involved!

OPs BACK IN FIRST DIVISION
With three matches still to be played, the Club's First XV managed to qualify among the teams that will participate in First Division in 2005. A categorical victory over GEBA by 43-12 on Saturday made this possible. We congratulate the Club's First team for their much earned and deserved promotion. We know of all the effort and spirit put into such an enterprise and we now wish them the very best of luck in the new adventure: to remain in the top league.

OP NAMED ARGENTINE AMBASSADOR
We are very proud to announce that Ernesto Carlos Alvarez has been appointed Argentine Ambassador to India. Ernesto was at school from 1958 to 1969 and even though he did not excel at sport he was a keen Athenian. After school he studied law and then entered the Diplomatic Corps serving in several posts, such as Brazil, Russia, Belgium and Iran. He has already manifested his interest in not only improving relations between both countries at an official level, but that he will also do all he can to take St. Alban's over for sporting and cultural exchanges. Our best wishes of success to Ernesto and his wife, Marcela.

40th ANNIVERSARY DINNER

Last Friday many of the members of the very first class of Bachilleres gathered to celebrate their 40th Anniversary as such. Jorge Boria, Robert Buchanan, Guido Caserta, Pedro Castagna, Sandro Degano, Ricardo Gonzalez Costa, Richard Knight and Ricardo Protto were present to mark the occasion and listen to messages sent by Martin Middleton in the UK, Juan Moser in Denmark, Billy Nicolussi in Scotland, Yme Tiemersma in Salta and John Wilson in New Zealand, who, even though he had finished school many years before this group, still wanted to participate of the joyous celebration. It was a great night that went on until late, where everyone shared amusing school day anecdotes and heart rending life stories.

ATHENS LEADS IN FUND RAISING CAMPAIGN
Yes sir! With Stephen Carr's donation Athens has reached the first place in the Fund Race. We are obviously happy for Athenians but even happier for the fact that thanks to all the OPs and friends who have collaborated the new classroom in the Kindergarten is almost finished.
Great to see that the old spirit still lives on. So let's keep it going guys.
