THE ALZHEIMERS SOCIETY

The first point of contact for those with dementia and their carers; referrals may be made by GP’s, professional bodies, carers, and friends
or by direct contact by the persons themselves.
The Alzheimer Link Service aims to operate by supporting people
with memory problems, and their carers, to enable them to remain
in the community for as long as possible.

RELIEF CARE SERVICE gives family carers a short break and provides a friend for people with dementia who are living alone.
THE CARERS REST drop-in centre meets at Dame Alice Court, Newnham Street Bedford on Tuesdays and Thursdays, to offer friendly support for carers and people with dementia.
CARERS SUPPORT SERVICE offers family carers support helping them to understand the person with dementia.
